PRESERVING THE COLLECTION
The collection of Leonid Steele works is thoroughly unique
today in its untouched completeness.
Representing every stage of painter’s
artistic development it covers the entire historic period, beginning from the
WWII. The family intends to preserve it in it’s entirety to the highest
possible degree as a source for on-going cultural and artistic studies as well
as being available to the public cultural institutions.
Yet, as part of its preservation, the collection requires
cataloging, framing and in many cases, restoration is an urgent need.
To that
end a very limited number of works will be made available for private
acquisitions.
